Bulk Material Sorting
The UniscanSORTER is an advanced optical sorting system designed for the precise detection and separation of defective pellets during the production of plastic granulates and compounds. The infeed section is equipped with hoppers and vibratory feeders to ensure a steady material flow. As the material travels down the chute, it is aligned into a single layer and directed into the inspection zone. Here, the pellets are illuminated by dynamically controlled lighting and continuously scanned by high-speed line-scan cameras. In the final step, any non-conforming or unwanted pellets are instantly ejected from the main stream by a precise array of air jets.
