Technical Site Visit

Take a tour of CAMEA's Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) for enforcement deployed in Prague, Czech Republic.

The city of Prague is a great example on how various traffic monitoring systems can work together to make a less congested and safer place.

Ranging from WIM stations that block heavy vehicles from entering the city, red light running detection, to enforcing the speed limits in whole sections to make the traffic more fluent and keep down the pollution and noise levels.

The workshop will be a follow up on the Workshop 04 - Mitigation of Bridge Failure by Large Overloads which is one of the many workshops of the World Road Congress 2023 organized by PIARC.

The WS04 will take place on October 3, 2023 from 14:30 to 18:00. There was a slight change in the program from the former WS04 Workshop on Weigh in Motion (WIM), but the workshop still covers WIM, road, and bridge protection topics.
